About

About Karen Gamble, MA, LMHC-A

I believe meaningful change happens when we understand not only what we are doing, but why we are doing it.

I am a Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHC-A) with a Master's degree in Behavioral Health, and I also hold certification in clinical hypnotherapy. My professional background brings together behavioral health, mindfulness, yoga, somatic practices, and an interest in the relationship between the mind, body, and nervous system.

My approach is grounded in the belief that people are not simply a collection of symptoms or behaviors. Our experiences, relationships, beliefs, habits, and nervous-system responses all influence the ways we move through the world.

In counseling, I draw from approaches including mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and nervous-system-informed practices. When appropriate, hypnotherapy can be incorporated as another tool for helping clients access and strengthen the changes they are working toward.

I earned my Master's degree in Behavioral Health from Eastern Washington University and previously earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Washington. I have also completed training in clinical hypnotherapy, yoga, trauma-informed practices, and polyvagal-informed approaches.

I don't believe there is one right way to change.

My role is to help you better understand yourself, identify what is getting in the way, and develop practical ways forward that feel authentic to you.

My Philosophy

Change doesn't always require more willpower.

Sometimes it requires greater awareness, a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions, and enough safety to experiment with something new.

That is the space I hope to create with my clients.
